"This course helped me understand the role of the vagus nerve in everyday life situations. I am a pediatric occupational therapist, but this course really solidified what I can do to help my young children when they are working through their emotions every day, instead of just watching them and feeling overwhelmed and defeated.
Kathleen was able to take various broad subject matters that have taken me years to learn and refine them in a manner to help parents understand how sensory processing affects emotions and behaviors. More importantly, I now feel empowered to take action to support my children in a loving manner, providing them will tools that will help them their entire lives. This course will be a game-changer for all parents who take it."

"I have started Kathleen Yopp of Helping Hands Therapy Services' parent course on "Reducing Stress and Anxiety in Kids using Vagus Nerve techniques" and I am learning so much. I'm only a few lessons in, but already my view of understanding my autistic daughter's sensory processing issues is expanding. I really look forward to learning more in-depth about ways to help her, as well as her younger brother's emotional regulation. I can see, as laid out for me in the outlined objectives, that by taking this course I will be able to help them with their anxiety and stress much more efficiently. I am so grateful for Helping Hands and Kathleen for making this vital information available to parents. Thank you!"

The piece that was missing...
Yes, the sensory strategies worked, but the emotional regulation piece was not being addressed in therapy most of the time...
Parents would come in and tell me how therapists said that they could not help them or their child because there were no underlying sensory deficits.
However, the emotional regulation difficulties were impacting their ability to participate in daily living routines and meaningful social and educational activities.
Or if the child could regulate in therapy, they could not carry it over to home or school.
Then, that's when I was introduced to the polyvagal theory and limbic system rewiring and how a child "lives" their daily experiences and shapes their responses. Â
This is the relationship between The Stress Cycle, Anxiety, and Emotional Regulation.
And the pieces of the puzzle came together and that's what I reveal to you in our online Masterclass that I invite you to join today.Â
Imagine you and your child gaining control of your inner world...
Imagine your autonomic nervous like the Symphony Leader, the CEO, the "Head Honcho" orchestrating your inner world...
Once you begin to gain a deeper understanding of the autonomic nervous system, you will learn how to manage it and organize it to smooth order and calm balance which will...
drastically improve your internal and external world...
and your and your family's participation and engagement in meaningful relationships, activities, occupations, and life.
